Demoiselle? 28ans+? Temps de se caser..

A Newsweek cover story titled "Too Late for Prince Charming?" showcased a study by Yale and Harvard researchers suggesting that 30-year-old white, college-educated single women had only a 20% chance of finding husbands. At age 40, the probability fell to 2.6%. Using hyperbole and humor that became infamous then, and sound far more awful today, Newsweek said those 40-year-olds were "more likely to be killed by a terrorist" than land a mate.

Another study by the American Medical Association suggests that women generally have some decrease in fertility starting in their early 30s. It is not unusual for a woman in her mid-30s or older to take longer to conceive than a younger woman. Furthermore, the risk of bearing a child with certain chromosomal disorders increases as a woman ages. The most common of these disorders is Down syndrome, a combination of mental retardation and physical abnormalities caused by the presence of an extra chromosome 21 (humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes). At age 25, a woman has about a 1-in-1,250 chance of having a baby with Down syndrome; at age 30, a 1-in-1,000 chance; at age 35, a 1-in-400 chance; at age 40, a 1-in-100 chance; and at 45, a 1-in-30 chance.

Once inside a marriage, the benefits for the Man are:
  • Live longer
  • Physically healthier
  • Wealthier
  • Increase in the stability of employment
  • Higher wages
  • Emotionally healthier
  • Have better relationships with their children
  • More satisfying sexual relationship
  • And more…
For the Women:

  • More satisfying relationship
  • Emotionally healthier, lower risk of depression, mental problems.
  • Wealthier
  • Less likely to be victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, or other violent crimes
  • Less likely to remain or end up in poverty
  • Have better relationships with their children
  • Decrease risk of drug and alcohol abuse
  • Less likely to attempt or commit suicide
  • Physically healthier. Less likely to contract ovarian cancer and other deseases.

For the kids:

  • More likely to attend college
  • More likely to succeed academically
  • Physically healthier
  • Emotionally healthier
  • Less likely to abuse drugs or alcohol
  • Less likely to commit delinquent behaviors
  • Have a better relationship with their mothers and fathers
  • Decreases their chances of divorcing when they get married
  • Less likely to be sexually active as teenagers
  • Less likely to be raised in poverty

So for those Tunisian ladies approaching 28+, hurry up and think about your well being and the well being of the community, rather than accumulating academic degrees or spending endless hours at work looking for the ultimate satisfaction, the incarnation of the feminist movement or the gender independence.

There is soul mate for everyone….it’s nature, that's how it is...but only if you take a leap of faith and don’t over-engineer it... otherwise and as we say in our language... ‘Yzaffir 3lik il babour”

Ok, I agree you're absolutely right.
Tunisian ladies tend to be more "hard to please" and demanding as long as they go far in studies. And as they are competing men and doing better than them in some domains, actually studies (let's face truth), they can no longer get satisfied, because a woman, whatever she says, does or becomes, always still wants her man to be stronger than her..
Well, social phenomena are complicated but they go this way..
So my advice for young Tunisian Ladies, as a tunisian lady myself, don't follow "el 39oud al ijtima3iya" related to further academic degrees and super-careers and acknowledge that marriage is still more important, unfortunately this is nature :)

@juice: I didn't agree with you : the "el 39oud al ijtima3iya" are inside the ladies mind and didn't come from their environment.

To return to article:
A tunisian lady when she finds someone with a good personnality,will instantly leave him and marry a rich one if the occasion appears,as if it was a deal to make and money to win !
Of course a highly educated Tunisian lady now thinks she is an opportunity and that the majority of men can't be compared to her,ettounssia tabda etkoull rani "le nombril du monde ,chkoun kifi !"

a small real story from my family,and a real one (in french sorry):

{Refrain: 2x}

{Refrain}

{Refrain}

{Refrain ad libitum..}

@Aymen:
Why do german women, or women in Europe in general, accept what would tunisian women probabely refuse?
Simply because they don't have those "39oud al ijtima3iya" since their environment is different from the tunisian one..
My exemple for you:
I have met in one european country an english girl moving from england to a scandinavian country with her husband (he was student), she has to work as a cleaner in the country where she moved although she has already accomplished a Master´s programme in some biomedical field ( she couldn't find a job or study since she didn't know the language)..
I don't think any tunisian lady with a "tunisian background thinking" would do that..even if she decides so, her tunisian environment won't leave her in peace :)

@juice: I agree that there are influence of environment,but I think that tunisian girls are enough smart now to fight such bad cultural backround with the help of their husband of course.

Can I?

I'll try!
I'll try to write in English!
But....

(Maso???)

I agree and.... don't agree.

I think it's not only the ladys'fault.

I know many beautiful girls (and bnat 3ayla)looking for a husband. They couldn't find.
Where are tunsian men?

I don't know.

Perhaps they don't want to get married!!!

I have a friend. She is 28 years old. she is pretty. She finished her studies. She's working. She really cannot find a man.

I have other friends, really beautiful ones, they have been looking for a man for years.

Where are the men?

Hey, where are you????

(How many mistakes i made???).
